and I thought I would share, some words from Tonya's Blog.. so deserving isn't she…

As time goes by I am reminded that to everything there is a season and a purpose. Time must be appreciated. Time is so very precious to me but stands still for no one. I am in my second year of college and half way through my third semester. I will graduate in May! I can't help but think of all the time I spend with my nose in the books and completing homework, yet, there is a purpose and I must obtain my goal. I must keep putting one foot in front of the other.
I miss creating and having free time. Free time to just "BE." Be able to spend time with my children without having to worry about what assignment or essay is due. Be able to just rest, if only for a while, without having (what feels like) the weight of the world on my shoulders. I know there are others that are going through the same thing or worse, but I can't help but wonder ~ When will life get easier?

Oregon Art camp Retreats

It’s a lot of work prepping for this event, months in the planning, I am so thankful for Melissa for all her behind the scenes help with making it happen this year ! ..

I have learned something about each person that participates..

I have learned that Jenny is quiet , a little shy but can be DEADLY like me ! HAHA she can crochet flowers like no other ! and she can make me give a speech with no alcohol involved ! LOL..

^{you all know I love to be front and center ! LOL..}

Jenny's bracelet and choker when finished, she learned etching metals, and soldering.. Look at her crotched flowers she made inside !

I have learned that if you give 30 women soldering irons and solder they are happy for days and days, well maybe throw in a few bottles of wine ..

I have learned that my kitchen help gets a little crazy as the night comes, they can sing and dance and cook at the same time ! who knew !! They are GREAT entertainment !..

I have learned you don’t need to know a sole when you arrive, because it isn't long and you have 30 forever sisters!..

Ad the Sun and the Beach and you get lots of photos.. The Beautiful Oregon Coast

I have learned that all women deserve to come to Art Camp once in a life time, take that mini break in your life that can change your life forever….. putting yourself in a room with like wise women , creating a whole lot of artsy fun..

I've learned that cupcakes in a jar are super YUMMY! Best eaten with your fuzzy slippers, wine and new friends…

I've learned that Raccoons in masks like chocolate cupcakes too !

I've learned that our cook Teresita couldn’t handle the news that Joy wasn’t there to help her cook ! LOL I think she was on the spin cycle here..

I've learned a lot the past few years of doing Art camps, that in the end its always worth the work involved.. The Happiness it brings each women , and the amazing letters I get when I get home bring me to tears…

Hi Terri.......I can't say enough about the incredible experience I had at Art Camp....I came home walking on cloud nine. I loved making the jewelry and learning so much. The ladies and you were such a gift to my life as I continue to explore my bucket list. How blessed I was to be given the opportunity to go to your Camp and meet such Creative, Loving, and Supportive women. The positive energy surrounding all of us was so infectious and appreciated. I hope JOY (Auntie joy) doesn't read this post, because I know she will say we couldn't do it without her ! HAHAHA

Joy is the Cook at my Art Camps, and this camp she's is away in CA doing a fun Antique show like this picture

after I picked myself up off the floor after she announced she will miss her first CAMP, I rounded up the troops and we rallied to find some COOKS, the show must go on..

What we cannot tell JOY is that, Teresita cooked all day Friday, baked her yummy cupcakes and was all packed ready to head out to the coast when she texted me to find out how the set up was going… YES you heard me right, she wanted to know how the set up was going and CAMP ISNT UNTIL NEXT WEEK!…

Oh Boy, she was a week EARLY on her DATES for camp !

It took her a while to believe that I wasn’t at camp setting up, and then we laughed historically in disbelief…

I HOPE this doesn’t mean we have stale food and dryed up cupcakes !!!.. we will sure Miss you JOY! it just wont be the same, I think we have to make a cutout of you there in the kitchen !

I have hired a MAN to Help in the kitchen , just so it all runs smoothly , here he is below….. lOL I think he can YELL maybe louder then JOY!..

Lots going on here at the home front, the home has been taken over with Art Camp Supplies, its crazy how this happens..

SOME Exciting news is that the Fall 2012 Art Camp is not onsale, and the teachers are announced on my website, so take a peek if you dare…

Must I Brag a bit !!!

oh gosh, this is my least favorite thing in the WHOLE world is to talk about myself! so excuse me for a few minutes !

I am PUBLISHED!! . in the Jewelry Affaire Autumn 2011 Issue ! and I am right there pictured in the letter to the Editor! and you all know HOW MUCH I LOVE my picture taken! HAHA

I have never even thought twice about submitting to a magazine, its just not me, I don’t brag about what I do or anything much about my life , I am very private, and not much talk about myself is indulged !..

I have met some of the most AMAZING women in the past years of my teaching journey, really its something I cannot explain, these women all get you, they have the same things in common, and they are everywhere !.. They are all the most gracious , amazing artistic ladies … You know who you are, I travel and teach soldering& Papier mache workshops, and come home with new forever friendships, you realize it’s a small world out there, when they all know everyone!

Last Summer I was teaching in San Diego, and in attendance in my workshop was Beth Livesay the Managing Editor of Stampington magazines, she was soft spoken, and a little intimidated to be trying her hand at soldering jewelry. she was scared and it took her a while to relax and forget how hot that soldering iron was ! LOL. She did wonderful, and I am excited to announce she will be attending my

Spring 2012 Art Camp on the Oregon coast ! along with another special guest Kim Caldwell , which Spring camp only has a few spaces left available, so HURRY and go register ! me and Kristen Robinson will be teaching you all fabulous jewelry classes..

so she asked me to submit some art work to their magazines, I shyly said I would.. but I didn’t, got home, thought what would I submit ! ..and let it go.. well months later and a few reminders from several that I really needed to do this..

so back many months ago I did!.. whew I thought got that monkey off my back.. life went on, well you get the letter your in the next issue, that’s VERY exciting for sure… Then time passes and you move on, and the magazine comes in the MAIL, I truly about fell over, the EXCITEMENT of it all.. I finally get it now, why people do it ! pure enjoyment !

I am proudly in the magazine with several people I know, and some have attended my workshops..

Colleen Pike, Melissa Mercer,Denise Hahn, and Jamie Skolnik,and Riki Schumacher,and Kristen Robinson which who are all so incredibly talented! you must see their work !

I also got a sneak peek at the NEWEST Stampington magazine MINGLE, and lets just say, its my NEW FAVORITE Magazine, I cannot wait for you all to see it..

I will be back in a day or so, to show off what's on the inside of the Jewelry Affaire magazine ! ME! haha ..

Its defiantly fall in the air ! leaves are falling ,and the evening air is getting crisp.. Busy time of year for me, with fall workshops right around the corner.. and a Fun Halloween class in October !!

Just a few short weeks and we will be back in Lincoln City Oregon for Fall Art camp!, we have a SOLD OUT full house this year again and lots of fun surprises around the corner, and I am so excited to have Jenny Doh in attendance this year ! .. If you want to possibly attend an Art camp, now is the time to go take a peek. I have one in the spring and one in the fall on the Oregon Coast.Teachers for Spring are already announced and will be me and Kristen Robinson teaching you all a wonderful weekend of all jewelry!

well wedding plans for Laci are going as planned, we are just waiting for the big day! .. lots of fun planning this big day! … she's so excited she can hardly stand it!

Maybe a cocktail will help!

Gosh , WHAT is wrong with me I get so Side tracked all day long.. here is an example of today.. let the dog outside to go potty, see the fish need fed , so I get their food, as I am feeding the fish I throw the hose in the water to fill the pond a couple inches, hear the phone ring, run back inside, cannot find the phone, see the clothes in dryer need folded, start to fold them, see the garbage is full, stop to empty garbage to remember the POND is filling with water, run outside its overflowing for a good half an hour ! See the lawn mower and decide to mow, start mowing and run out of gas,leave the mower sitting in the middle of the yard to go get gas, and walk thru the salon to see the floor needs mopped, go get mop and forgot about the salon and Mopped the kitchen floor, remember I had half folded the laundry, head back that way to remember my soldering iron was on and I had started some necklaces, pass the laundry room to forget I was going to solder AGAIN and empty garbage!.. OMG it goes on and on, as I start all these unfinished projects ! good grief I NEED a DRINK!.. LOL.. my brain is always way ahead of my body!.. if they could all just slow down……..and to top it off, started some metal etching, and left it in the etchant too long to find my metal barely left ! ughh GADS!

The froggy has been living at my front door for a month now, he swims in the pond, and lives in the birdhouse ! he is super tiny, all the girls here a week ago were taking a photo shoot of the poor little guy! he even let them touch him! he changes color, if he is in the house, he is the color of the house, if he is by the flowers he turns green!..

I have been so BUSY with teaching and building a pond with my husband, getting things ready for the big wedding here next year !.. time will fly I am sure..

My friend and I took a drive to Fall City WA, I had my partner in crime Melissa from Oregon City to come spend the day doing some high school goofing off for a play day ! we took binoculars, cameras and we were on a mission! it was a beautiful sunny day to see the gorgeous waterfall and mountains .. Mission was accomplished !

Last weekend I had my annual 2 day Papier Mache workshop, and it didn’t disappoint ! my GOSH was there talent Here..

LOOK at these ADORABLE PICECES made by Linda from Mercer island, I wanted to keep them so BAD! the little dancer on the top went into a soldered glass box..below is a collaged box with soldered glass front! This class will be back soon for some FUN holiday boxes that hang on the tree !

I had 1 student here all the way from Singapore! she was adorable and was able to be here 2 weekends to create fun jewelry learning soldering and to learn to sculpt with clay ! Christina, I miss you my friend , UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN! my new forever friend.

I have been so busy, while I had a month off from teaching, my husband and I took on a POND project!, well kind of, he wasn’t as real thrilled about it as I was, and the MORE he dug the hole, the more worried I got it could be my burial site ! LOL… EEK we don’t do well in yard projects!.. but its done, 2 full weeks, of digging and hauling rocks, and plants and rocks and rocks… ughh our aching BACKS, thank gosh for Billie to the rescue !!

I will get you a picture to show off, it’s a waterfall, then goes into a river under our front deck and to a pond on the other side, very soothing to listen too..

is one of those weekend’s, I am glad when its past……. its hard for me to hear those so excited for a 3 day weekend, and all the FUN they are going to have …..it always seems to sting to hear people not know the true meaning of Memorial day…

I guess in reality those that not have lost a loved one just honestly don’t know how it feels………

Going to the cemetery to visit your parents , or any loved ones isn't easy and doesn't get easier …… sigh….

I don’t live very far from where my parents are buried, some days I LOVE they are so close and other days I cry as I drive by because they are there ..

One thing I have learned in grief is we sure cannot control death and who is next…

I just need to remind you all , LOVE those that are with you as it could and will change in any second….

Ok enough on sadness..

good news to report..

My sweet daughter , her new mother in law to be, and 2 of her bridesmaids and I , spent the day together Saturday Wedding dress shopping!. OH BOY!..

Laci tried on so MANY dresses and it was like a light went off when she tried on the ONE! she said MOM this is the DRESS!! WHAT are you sure I said…

there was no more trying on dresses she FOUND it !

I cannot show you the DRESS, but I did take LOTS of photos of her in ALL the dresses, it may be one of these in the below picture! she looked so HAPPY, she was grinning from ear to ear !…..

it was so fun, we all laughed , and well maybe cried a few tears, but it was so much FUN! especially to be back to together with Laci and her BEST girl friends from school, it sure brought back memories of me and my girlfriends ! After the dress shopping, we headed to the water front for some sunshine, outdoor dining and great food on the waterfront !.. the girls all posed for several photo ops ! ..

Gosh its been since March that I have posted the exciting Wedding NEWS! all is going well with that, wedding dress shopping this weekend will probably be a real EYE opener, its so fun to see Laci so excited about everything ! ..

I have been all over the place teaching and Now finally Home for some semi down time in the salon!.

Art Camp Spring was wonderful, lots of new faces from all over the United States ! always amazing..

Claremont California was BEAUTIFUL! I got to room with Suzi , and Joy was the hostess with the mostess for sure ! by far my favorite stop yet !

I have been having to hold my breath for 3 WHOLE months, the hardest secret I have ever kept….. I am glad I knew a head of time, so I could get all the planning done before the big announcement !! LOL NOT..

and the best part…

I am the wedding PLANNER !!!! WHO KNEW I was capable!!!!..

They arrived in Las Vegas, she had no idea what was coming…

Then at evening sunset at the Bellagio Fountains he proposed… isn't she just the cutest little thing, she's the most adorable Happy girl , and what a lucky GUY!..

and she called home crying, and she does not CRY!… she was so HAPPY..

The wedding is planned for 2012 in a gorgeous Vineyard @ sunset ..

She's picked almost the same colors I had 25 years ago, and it was all her own decision! I am HAPPY..

so far everything is working to my plan LOL!!..

The RING! Who knew she liked JEWELRY! don’t you LOVE that polish!!!! she hadn't a clue it was about to adorn a RING!

She will be the most beautiful bride I will have to say.. and the décor , OH MY !!! do we have to wait a YEAR! ..

Dream Girls was more then a huge success, it was amazing.... Tiffany and I work so good together, and our main goal is to spoil these girls rotten! Is DeadHorse a town you want to visit?

Just the name of the town makes you want to RUN fast doesn’t it.. DeadHorse Alaska, better known as Prudhoe Bay Alaska, where my husband works.. The last 2 months he has been in the frozen tundra working so hard, total darkness, often –70 below zero!

people ask me where does your husband work, so I tell them , they just don’t really quite get where he is? I am always asked Do you go visit..!!! umm NO.. maybe after seeing some of these pictures you will see why..

This picture is taken in the winter in the day time! yes no SUN !!

if your not careful, this can happen ! So far its not making me want to go visit is it you??

This is what the Oil Field camps look like, for miles and miles and miles, its all flat frozen tundra

here is the Housing? its not really my color?

Now if I got to see these beautiful northern lights, I may go for the day!! LOL

But then you have to come back to this town! and I think well maybe I wont go! ..

But then again here is a nice Villa all nice and cozy and warm! NOT…

I am excited to see my Husband, we will be celebrating out 25th wedding anniversary when he arrives home, and I am taking him on a SURPRISE get away to HERE.

So he can warm up with maybe a few cocktails and Sunshine!..

my next stop is DREAM GIRLS weekend , I had Joy here working herself to the bones on kits and goodies for all the lovely ladies arriving from all across united States..its very humbling to teach a class and meet all these fabulous new amazing women.

Then in April we are back to the Oregon Coast to Art Camp! you MUST check it out..

I have exciting news , I will be back in CA in May to teach at the home of Joy Campbell, and proud to say it SOLD out the first day! WHOO HOOO isn't that just FUN for an instructor to hear..!..

I also have something so exciting to announce , but unfortunately it isn't out of the BAG yet, so late March I can tell…. don’t you HATE it when people do that.. stay tuned hope to see you all on the Art Trails somewhere soon.,.

Well with the final class of the year behind me, I guess its time to start Christmas shopping!.

yes I am one of those who wait until days before to get out and shop! not because I procrastinate , but I cannot hide gifts and not give them early! it kills me to have a gift and not give it.. ughhh A special delivery from H *cupcakes arrived don’t these look YUMMY!

ok so onto the last couple weeks.. First off was a fabulous weekend with 12 Art Camp ladies here for an overnight 24 hour weekend of art, food and gifts !.. it was SUPER fun, we barely got any sleep and even had a fun visit from Jenni whom did eyelash extensions!

There was about 7 of us whom got in line for that fun treat.. Here is a picture of Tiffany the Fancy Farm Girl getting hers aren't they beautiful!.you don’t need to wear mascara with them and they are gorgeous…… Tiffany was heading to NEW YORK to join Jo Packham in the launch of there new magazine Where Women Cook!.

I didn’t get any pictures of the Art Weekend! it was just too busy!.. hopefully soon someone will send me a few to share *HINT, because there wasn’t any photographers in the room with cameras!! LOL..

Next up was my final Christmas Hurrah … I am always glad to have that behind me, it’s the busiest funnest class of the year!.. lots of fun surprises on this day..

Here is a picture of the class room that morning .. waiting for my arrivals, there were 14 ladies coming from, Seattle to Oregon. Then our day began, and it was a fabulous day for all, but Donna and I were so tired! LOL.. thank you all that came to play that day..and THANKS DONNA for all you help thru out the year… she's the BEST!

My next stop is Melrose Vintage Phoenix Arizona, then onto Escondido CA to Urban barn! come take a workshop and have a fun day of learning to solder ..

*The classes are being held in a large barn called

URBAN BARN in Escondido CA.

*The cost of each workshop includes all of your necessary supplies as well as all meals, snacks and beverages during class time. Accommodations are not included, but we would be happy to provide you with a list of nearby options. We can also put you in touch with others who may be driving in from you area and if you would like to share hotel rooms. We are here to help you with the process.

**Terri and Julie will be providing everything you need for the classes. You may want to bring an art apron if you have one, just in case we get messy. Julie & Terri will be bringing extra kits , supplies etc. for sale if you are interested .

Happy Holidays to you.. Dec 1st is here and the count down to Christmas begins…I have a few shots of my studio for you all to see, its a HUGE mess as I am creating some projects for this weekends event .. Lucky me is having 12 friends over for a slumber Art party!.. it’s the women that all help me in my workshops or Art Camps!.. I am treating them all to a wonderful weekend here getting spoiled by me!.. I cannot tell you all too much as its SECRET projects what we are all doing, I am not sure if Ozzy my dog can handle 24 hours of this kind of excitement ! LOL..

Also I am sharing a few pictures of a weekend my husband and I snuck away and went on a road trip to Canada, we ended up in Whistler BC and it was BEAUTIFUL!..

Now I know its not even Thanksgiving, but planning these workshops I am already way into valentines and EASTER!. This class I taught last spring was a private event at Tiffany Kirchner-Dixon home, we had the BEST time ever and the theme was

Spring FLING..

These were so much fun to make, I decided LETS do it again.. I will be in Phoenix in January teaching this class, then the following week in San Diego, THEN I come home and do it one last time in my home studio here in February, so find me somewhere along the way and take this FABULOUS CLASS.. I changed it up a bit with more soldering and glass added to the eggs..

also quick NOTE on the Fun times at Art Camp, I know its been over since Oct but , its sure hard not to talk about it.. take a HOP back over to Tiffany's Site, she's featuring the Art Camp photos this week, she was a teacher there and also our camp Photographer.

Each person who attended Saturdays class went home with one of these guys.. hand made by ME!.. of course we wont talk about my dog Ozzi eating 18 of them 1 week before! EEEK... and yes he is still breathing! LOL.. This was their place setting when they arrived, which include a lovely apron made by Cindy..

Today I met with Cindy at her amazing Tarte Barn... Halloween weekend that barn is going to be Hopping, Music, food, drinks, shopping !!..
Starting with a friday night Evening of shopping with featuerd papier mache artists, Ilona Steelhammer, Christy Meyers, Renee valentine and ME!

What is Art Camp?.... its so hard to explain, until you attend you really dont know.... its a camp I offer 2 times a year on the Oregon Coast, where 35 women come together from states near and far, under 1 roof to meet new roomies,and leave as one family.

It's about Women taking time off from the busy life and getting pampered for 5 days without worrying about kids, food and laundry and the sometimes rough thing called life...

We call it camp, but really there is no camp about it! the home is spectacular! a real movie theatre that seats 60! REALLY.. beds for everyone..

Our guests from Canada,Rochelle, and Christina, both incredably talented! Christina will be back next Fall to teach some fun Steampunk Art! .. I LOVE this girl Tiffany Kirchner Dixon... shes amazing inside and out.. her heart is as big as her smile..
Barb and Melissa from Oregon! they were my roomies..

Girls getting too much vitamin- D outside and getting a little GOOFY! I think the cooks were sipping the wine?? Joy, Tiffany and Teresita, they are all kissing the air? hmmmmm

I was more then honored to have Jo Packham the editor in Chief of Where women create magazine, she attended the weekend retreat! she took the Sundays class learning to solder a crown! then we wisked her upstairs to the massage room where she got spoiled by our in house massage therapist for a 90 minute massage!

so the weekend begins.. The packets were opened and the Art of the weekend began, gifts on the beds were a plenty..

So another great Art camp weekend is behind us, its really something you must attend, I enjoy watching the mothers and daughters, the sisters and mothers and friends coming with friends, I really miss my mom, I lost my mother when I was 35 yrs old,I think watching these women bring their daughter and laughing with them makes my heart skip a beat at every class, I hope these girls realize how lucky they are to have such wonderful mothers to make memories with.

My FAVORITE stop is Arizona, all these women are the sweetest women I have met yet, I watch Diane, Wendy and Candy as they are all so loving and tender, it truly melts my heart, I find myself dreaming it was my mom!.. I call Diane my mom when I am there and she treats me like I am ! I LOVE IT!

.. Art Camp is the most amazing weekend with women all together, getting spoiled with cooked meals, making art projects, sipping wine and slipping away to the massage room for a fabulous relaxing massage, and walks on the beach, the smells of fresh baked goodies, lots and lots of laughter .....

Thanks to you all whom attended, we all walked away with forever memories and extended family.....

My home looks like I am moving and really I do when it comes to this event..... its so much work but so exciting and fun at the same time... 2 days away we will be arriving in Lincoln city Oregon for the fun 4 day event.... my most SPECTACULAR news is Jo Packham is also attending, and I just cannot wait to meet her, I made her a special gift that will show you all when I return, I have so many photos I want to share but just cannot divulge any secrets to anyone...Fabulous instructors will be also coming to share in their amazing skills, Christy Meyers and Tiffany Kirchner Dixon so exciting isnt it..

BOO! Im BACK...

I Know I have been MIA for about 5 weeks! a little bump in the road of life , but now I am back on track and moving forward... !..
Lots going on here behind closed doors, the kits are made for fall Art Camp! all 37 Women are going to be amazed with the EXCITING stuff going on there in just 3 short weeks! I wonder if some of the girls at camp will bring their costumes in the picture above..?? hmm Cindy , Joy, Rochelle?
I was lucky enought to get Joy Bayer and Christy Meyers all to myself over labor day weekend as we planned menus, and all the fun activities at camp, We even got a nice visit from Rochelle driving from Canada to Oregon to visit her parents, she brought us this YUMMY chocolate chocolate CAKE!! ....
We tore apart a wedding dress like we were mad divorced women not to say what we did with the VEIL! Those coming to Art camp will see what we did do with it....... Teresita one of the women cooking has a cupcake business so we are hoping to get a sample of these below!..
I also finished the samples for Artsy Tartesy and are they ever exciting... soon to be unveiled.... if you dont have plans over halloween weekend come join us in Oregon City for an amazing weekend at the "TARTE" barn, if you want to come to an amazing over the top event and learn some fabulous soldering projects..

Barn House Flea

The Barn house flea was excatly as I thought it would be...

picking up my friend Amber early for our little hour drive , we took the Garmin to guide us along the way as we didnt want to get lost....

Well about 3 miles to go and the traffic on this nice little country road is stopped, all you see as far as you can see is red taillights? hmmm we said there must be an accident, so as we visit and watch the cars, people are jumping out of there cars and snapping pictures of the line... hmmm this is odd, well about 20 minutes goes by in a slow crawl, we realize this is the line to BARN HOUSE! ...

WOW was our first thought , people were parking anywhere and everywhere, running to get there, it was CRAZY..

Some couple coming the other way of the jammed traffic, stopped and asked us where everyone was going, I said with a SMILE well its Chelsea Clintons wedding !! ( GRIN) they were so Surprised and drove off!.... I couldnt tell them WHERE we were going there was already enough people we had to fight off.. When we arrived , we were greeted by Heather Bullard and Tiffany Kirchner, I couldnt imagine 2 better people with such big smiles as the welcoming crew...

First booth we see was Cindy of "The QUEEN of Tarte", her booth was packed and very picked over ! my gosh people were grabbing like they had never seen antiques before...

We rounded the corner and who did we see Joy! from "Auntie Joys" it looked like she was Singing to her crowd?? zoom in close now, I think she had he whole crowd singing!! we couldnt even step one foot in her booth, so I snapped a picture and decided we would venture back that way a little later, well it wasnt any better in all the fabulous displayed booths, they were all jammed full, and people were hauling stuff out faster then could say I would like to buy that!..

Here is another shot down one side of the path, I could barely stop to get a picture!... crazyness but fabulous!

We stayed a couple hours , it was something you sure dont want to miss next year, mark your calender and go see whats inside that BARN!..

The trip started with a truck full of women! and a trailer FULL of Antiques. Me, Cindy , Joy and Elizabeth all off for a 2 week long adventure.So first I have to share some pictures with you all of our wonderful trip to San Diego and beyond.. The pictures aren't in order of the story! so follow me along wont you..

Our first stop was Lodi California, we arrived at about 2 am, and missed getting to visit our friend Natalie Hansen , next time we will have more time I hope..
This was the girls room at my brothers home , this room was HUGE with 3 beds for all of us girls to share!.. My favorite color walls EVER!..

We spent a LOT of time in this room giggling , like college girls do! and talking about all of you silly people..LOL

The last leg of the trip was our shopping at Alameda Flea! Joy and Cindy were busting to get there, as the clock struck 4 am with a little over 3 hrs of sleep! we were all up and ready to GO! .......... so off we went with our running shoes and shopping carts..(Did I mention the trailer was already JAMMED full of Antiques before we got there?) and that it ALMOST was Stolen.... another story..

More Alameda, with San Francisco in the back ground.. It was a gorgeous sunny morning . I was so excited to see Colleen Moody there , it was such a surprise to hear my name.... I thought WHO in the world knows me here? it was Colleen, how in the world did she recognize me??.. I was looking quite nice for no sleep! LOL "NOT".. she caught me later sitting texting my family LOL she was a women with a mission, after all it was the 4th of July and she was hosting a party later... Darn if we only knew where she lived we could have crashed her Party!..

This is back in San Diego, after our shows and me teaching we were pretty exhausted, spending a whole day doing nothing at my brothers in our Jammie's all day , the next day was sailing, and it as always was fabulous..

I always LOVE to go to Old town in San Diego , my favorite Mexican restaurants ever !.. somehow I always forget the LINES at restaurants there!.. but worth the wait..

We went a couple days to Pacific Beach, the shopping is fun there, and a must stop is Vignettes store full of eye candy!..and always a trip to HOODADS for burgers and beer..

My brothers home has a view of Sea world and San Diego , so every night we sat and watched the fabulous firework displays as we sipped our homemade Margarita's.. YUM!

Here is the pier at Pacific beach, we went out here on one morning for a really yummy breakfast.. The smell of the sea air and blue Sky's sure is a wonderful combination..

Here is a gorgeous sunset !.. The weather stayed pretty cloudy on most days, they called it June gloom!.. I don't think they really KNOW what June GLOOM is tho LOL..

Our day sailing... went off with out a hitch, well...... there is one little hitch we wont tell ya much , but lets just say it had to do with the Potty ROOM!. hahahaha you had to be there to really appreciate the SPRAY of it all. Joy being the team leader gave Brian a helping hand.. :)

Look at this sunrise! Oh MY!.. unbelievable to see, with a starbucks coffe in hand, our driver Cindy just LOVES starbucks ....

The yummy burgers from Hoodads... its really not as good as it looks!!.. haha .. well maybe:)

Here is Joys beach towel (below)... isn't it pretty colors, she was already to take in the sun by the pool at my brothers , when we well, kinda helped her into the pool first !... Luckily she did know how to swim!..

Each night after my class's, we would go to Dotti's adorable home in Mission Hills and have drinks and yummy food with her and

Julie Haymaker Thompson,Julie spent the weekend with Dotti,

one night Julie made us the most fabulous dinner ever!

she is so adorable, the wine was flowing and we were all telling stories, we sure all had some GOOD laughs we actually laughed all the way back to Brians, as we QUIETLY snuck in the house at 2 am! someone was NOT drinking too much!!! ....

I LOVE being around Julie , we have so much FUN together !... I was thrilled to have her come to 3 days of workshops with me ,all the students were really thrilled to see her there too.. .... her work is fabulous, if you can forsure TAKE her workshops, shes teaching at quite a few locations now.. We also spent a day in LA at some

top secret shopping stops!

Cindy and Joy were a Buzzing with all there shopping GLORY..

but I am SWORN to secrecy to WHERE we went... all I can say is you MUST go to Cindy's barn sales to see what she bought!..

The trip home was long, we were all pretty tired of talking LOL even Joy was quiet which I dont think happens too often... LOL...

Cindy had picked up some southern bell lingo , and for some reason it was VERY contagious! yeeealll .. LOL...... We were glad to get out the busy City life BUZZ and back to the calm country sides of WA and Oregon..

The trailer was JAMMED full, and I do mean JAMMED FULL.. we barely had room in the truck for us all to sit, I guess that was telling us it was time to get home...

We were all glad to get home, it was a very memorable trip for sure, lots of laughing went on at 1 am daily LOL!..

would I do it again, YOU BET!.. I miss those girls after 2 weeks with them....

I will do one more post, to tell you about some of the amazing women we met along the way and some more fun stops, like Gilding the Lily..

My classes were so fun, the classroom was PERFECT! all set up already for class, how lucky was that.. I will be back in Solona Beach to teach some fun Holiday workshops in November, they will go onsale Sept 15th I believe..

My next stop is Art Camp in Lincoln City Oregon, I am pretty jazzed about this, as usual its going to be pretty Fabulous if I do say so myself!and Joy, Cindy and Elizabeth with be also coming along for the adventure ......

I have 2 amazing guest Teachers coming, Christy Meyers, and Tiffany Kirchner Dixon, and people are flying in from 7 different states! how exciting.I have 2 spots that are forsale by one attendee, she is ill and cannot come, she is offering her 2 spaces at a discount if anyone wants to join us.. let me know SOON...

MOST exciting news.... Cindy is hosting me 2 days of workshops over HALLOWEEN WEEKEND at her BARN, with SHOPPING on friday night, yummy food, the Tarte~a~licious drink and MORE.. oh dear, its going to be some over the top fun times for sure, we planned for the whole 2 weeks we were gone, our minds together were exploding with ideas, with Joy and Elizabeth throwing out their ideas as well, we were all so EXCITED..

First , before I tell you the OUCH part of this story, I have to LAUGH OUT LOUD!!

This picture below is SOOO FUNNY( Stolen from Joys Blog), you just have No idea, this is Dotti , and the gal with no head, well I dont think Cindy had her long enough to name her, shes been around and ridden on many shoulders and I am not talking about Dotti! LOL...!... The other is Dotti and is so FUNNY , she cracks us all up all the time!, shes so adorable, and I Miss her SO much when I am not with her :(((..... This is me, Joy and Cindy , sitting at Pacific Beach! on our way to Hoodads for the BEST burgers in San Diego!..

While I am away with friends playing and shopping the Alameda Flea Market, my Son is playing his first Spring College practice football game, yeah all the grief from the family wasnt enough that I was missing this big game!! and Did I mention I met Colleen Moody at the Alamedia!, I will have to say I looked my finest!! no sleep, wrinkled clothes, woke at 4 am to be there at Dusk hahaha....

well the TEXT comes from my husband saying , at the Hospital with Tayler.. needless to say my phone was OFF!! ackkkk... I am terrible with my cell phone, its one of those things I am not good at , like turning it on, or answering it, its really something for me when I want to use it LOL..! sigh... after a visit to the hospital, and pain pills and ice, he was home on the couch with it elevated as I arrived home the following night...... This picture below isn't as bad, it got way worse! and actually still is, now his toes are purple, well Purple and with a cast on!...... ewwww The doctor visit today reassured us he WILL need Surgery and fast...... Oh Boy.. Broken Fibula!( SP)..

Not a good way to spend the summer , my poor son, wasn't what he had planned either!..

I have been thinking all the things he can do for me while he is down for 12 WEEKS... sculpt pumpkins!paint pumpkins! polish and tag jewelry.. I don't think I will break this news until after he recovers a bit tho ..

I still have my VERY exciting news to announce.. soon I Hope.. its all in the fine tuning of the details, you know you take Cindy Dockins of Queen of Tarte , and Terri Brush and something really FANTASTIC is in the BREWW ..
that's a HINT BREW!!

S M I L E Girls! lots of photos being taken on this trip!

I was so excited to finally Meet Kim Caldwell, she attended a workshop with some of her wonderful artist friends!... Here she is sneaking away to shop the Mermaid Mercantile show, pictured below is , Cindy Dockins of Queen of Tarte, Kim Caldwell of Artist bliss, Debbie Hodge of breathing beside us, and Joy Bayer of Auntie Joy....
Well after 2 weeks traveling, I made it home safely with lots of stories to tell, I sure Miss my traveling companions!.. I left for a road trip to San Diego, first stop was Salem to pick up , Cindy of Queen of Tarte and Joy of Auntie Joy, we had the best trip , traveling and talking, I don't think we stopped talking for the first 14 hours of driving , and the trip seemed to go so fast, once we crossed into the CA border, I had special bracelets made for Cindy and Joy!...
We were so busy from the second we arrived in San Diego... preparing for my workshops was first on the agenda!.. I was so Honored to have so many women flying in from all over the US to attend my workshops, the lovely Kadee Metzger came in from Illinois , she was such a doll to meet and work with! she attended all 3 days! :)

I always Love my special friend Julie Haymaker Thompson, she came in from New Mexico to attend all 3 days! her work simply amazes me!... if you get a chance make sure and attend one of her art workshops, she also travels all over to teach and Loves what she does and it shows .. This picture below is her work in class....

also a very Special GUEST! Beth Livesay Editor of Jewelry Affair magazine, came and attended the beginners class, she was adorable and a little scared to use the HOT soldering iron! she did amazing work..

This is Debbie Hodge, an amazing talented artist, she makes some fabulous clothing and linen bags, I am proud to say i own several of her pieces!.. I was so excited to have her in class, and she also took a Private class at my brothers home which was way too much Fun!..This is Deb and Beth below..

Here is a picture of my brothers back yard , its a tropical oasis! wow it really takes your breath away!... we all spent some time out here talking and enjoying the views.. at night there were nice little firs going by the pool, with some bottle of wine of course!..

O.k here is the fabulous four!.. Dotti of course with her Best buds! these gals all sure adore each other, if they are in a room, you know it, lots of laughter goes on!... always good to see them all.. Dotti took all 3 days of class, she also was the hostess with the mostess! WOW.. she cooked some fabulous desserts, we joined her and Julie Haymaker several nights for dinner and fun! Julie cooked us a fabulous Dinner the last day of classes, we all had the best time, we all laughed so hard all night ! good times for sure..

my sweetest friend , Jane,shes a dream, so soft spoken , so talented, I LOVE it when she comes to the workshops! I also got to see her in Phoenix classes as well!.. you cannot help but smile when around her, shes so genuine and adorable.. below is a picture of her , Debbie Hodge and my traveling partner Joy!..

Happy Mothers Day …. mom

Today is suppose to be a Happy Day, but seems once you loose your mother its never the same Happy Mothers Day…

its been 9 years last week since I got to talk to my mother, and it feels like yesterday, at 35 it was defiantly hard times losing her with having young children all trying to cope with their losses..… Within a year I lost my mother in law, another hard knock, then 10 months later my favorite and only grandmother… with all this loss came a lot of hard days to follow.. I gave up all my art , threw it all way, my creative spirit was gone, I had thought forever…. when your feeling low and lonely with the loss of loved ones, its not very fun to try to create happy art or any actually …..

Unfortunately it got worse before it got better, the loss of my father came for me soon after, the age of 39 I was an orphan… would I have even imagined it NO!…. did I think I could survive without them defiantly no.. somehow you do and life seems to help you back up…

I'm glad to say I found art again thru a friend that drove me to a class in Portland, the class wasn't the best but the outing with friends was the cure…

soon after that I began teaching, and truly LOVE it.. I have met the most wonderful women around the country, all with a story of loss and art , its amazing.. I find myself in class watching the mothers and daughters smile and laugh and enjoy there days together , I often tell them how lucky they are.. If they only know how special those moments really are…. Enjoy your mothers , you are a mold of her and someday you will only get to look back and dream…….

Art camp was a BLAST!

I have so much to tell, after a FABULOUS weekend of the most amazing ladies... The planes were flying in from as far away as Georgia, with stops in , Arizona, California, Oregon, Washington and back to the Oregon Coast to drop off 34 women anxiously attending Art Camp ..

I have to say it went off without a glitch...

The weather was perfect, some sunny days, some stormy days...

The house, well look at the pictures, it was perfect in every way, our views of the ocean were spectacular..

After all the Art Camp crew working hard , we got the set up all finished and look at this room!...

doesnt every girl want to come get pamperd for 4 full days!...

Opening evening went off perfect... lots of women meeting there new roomies for the first time, lots of laughter and yummy food set the mood....

The art room was in front of the fire place for these women coming from Arizona to our cold spring weather!..

the entrance to the door was decorated by Joy! it was spectacular to say the least, even with fresh flowers .....

Art class was amazing, here is a book made by Christy Meyers, in memory of her dear friend who had passed away.. it was amazing...

lots of champagne , and wine was the setting for the perfect evenings..

I wont divulge too many camp secrets, as you must attend to really know what happens there! LOL... its beyond anything you could imagine.. if your registered to attend you definantly wont be disappointed when you leave.....

When my husband took the job in Prudhoe Bay Alaska, all my friends were worried I would be doing a lot of this (above)

needless to say its been very little of that…
I love teaching the Art classes and have been meeting fabulous ladies along the way..
This week Joy of “Auntie Joy” came back for an over night visit, I would like to think it was just because she missed me! But it was for us to discuss another secret project , this one is for
ART CAMP on the OREGON COAST..
which is coming up here the end of the month!.
Today I had a class here , it was a really fun day , enjoying some new ladies from Canada that were VERY talented, Rochelle even brought everyone in class a fabulous Easter PRESENT!
WOW.. did she score some brownie points!. she also makes some very cool jewelry on her Etsy store.. go peek
I also got to enjoy a nice dinner with Elizabeth from Seattle, Friday night, she stayed all night so she could attend today's class.. :)

Dream Girls Weekend

So the planning began several months ago.
Lots of behind the scenes creative thinking, the PRESSURE was on, we knew all these girls would arrive with camera in hand!! LOL.....
Tiffany had asked me to come teach a workshop in her home & town, I was honored to say the least.. Tiffany is the most honest open hearted women I have ever met...
The day she sent the invites out to attend, the class was FULL! How amazing is that..
The pictures tell the story..
Tiffany left it up to me what to teach, and so I chose a little Easter project.. Adding learning to solder to the mix with collage, most the class had already tryed there hand at the addicting art.
They were all given this fabulous folder that JOY made here on SECRET assignment!
Their folders were made from vintage wallpapers , vintage papers and ribbons,and personally tagged with there names and event, it was also full of fun embelishments, gifts and candy..
The weekend started with an evening dinner party at Tiffany's home , and let me say the HOME was beyond eye candy, you just couldn't take it all in, I walked around with my camera in hand and realizing I wasn't taking many photos as I was so in aw just looking at everything. We were all welcomed with Chocolate martinis and the best appetizers!
It was a Birthday party for Isabelle and Tammy which made the opening night even more festive!
Tiffany had a friend who also caters do the food, over the top YUM!..
As the evening slowed down, most the girls went to the "Yella Beak Saloon", which what happens at the Beak stays at the Beak if you know what I mean.. hahaha
Breakfast was amazing bakery treats, and then up to the studio Donna and I went to set up.. The project was all top secret, no one knew what they were there to create.... In this group were 4 professional photographers, and let me tell you how hard it is to DUCK and HIDE from 15 women all with camera in HAND! ughhh me and cameras don't see eye to eye!! LOL...
I will let the photos tell the rest of the story, it was an amazing heart felt day,lots of laugher , talent and some shed tears, Tiffany opened the art day with a speech from her heart and let me tell you, there wasn't a dry eye in the room!.. We all had some fun photo opps that I cannot wait to see! so many cameras flashing!! ACk..

Kris from Todays Country store was kind enough to take me to the store to shop after hours! I didnt buy a thing hee hee ( in case hubby reads this ! ) I just LOVE that store full antiques..

I am so blessed to have crossed paths with Tiffany,and I think every lady there felt the same..

They flew in from Canada to California

The weekend started with women flying in from Oregon, California, Canada, Arizona,and the locals from Washington..
We had a surprise dinner party planned for Julie , Sheila and Shelly for there Birthdays!!! It was a kick off dinner for the lovely Julie Haymaker coming to teach her fabulous classes..

These are the setting of the evening dinner party.. The two famous Beach Camp ladies, Julie and Lori did all the evening cooking and it was divine ...

The evening was beautiful, a lovely sunset dinner that could not have been better...who could imagine the classroom could look like this!!

More of the appetizer trays, on the vintage 1800's bar, with these gorgeous roses Lori brought THANKS YOU LORI... is it making you wish you were here ! it was a special invited group of women , ladies from art camp and class were the lucky few, all 16 were very surprised ..

This is early in the day as Dotti preps the room making sure everything is set and ready for the evening about to happen & take on the magical evening the day was a buzzinggg.....

This is Julie Helping Lisa Holtzman who flew in from California, she was adorable and oozed with talents, she is a calligrapher and her writing was breath taking , as we all watched...

We also had a wonderful lady who came from Canada, her name is Violette, an artist herself , her work was amazing, please go peek at her site, she also teaches online workshops..

It was a fabulous weekend, Julie's teaching is so beautiful, she loves it, and it shows... Everyone left with there pieces finished and were so proud..

I am planning Julie back here soon, I need to cross reference her schedule and will know what days work.. She teaches so many different mediums and venues..

Thanks Julie we LOVE you here in the NW, and special thanks to Julie H and Lori S ,our wonderful ladies who came and cooked and spoiled us the whole evening.... and Thanks to DOTTI my new best friend whom I met in Portland at a workshop that wasn't a good day for many , Dotti, turns a bad experience into a new found friendship... You never know where you meet another fabulous friend, take a workshop and try it, there is something that happens..... Workshops do that special something in the setting and atmosphere of women coming together and getting pampered and YOU deserve it...

Julie Haymaker in the HOUSE!!

I'm so Excited to finally have Julie Haymaker here this weekend to teach her magic!..

she will be teaching 2 days of fabulous classes,day 1 is sold out, and I think day 2 has 1 or 2 openings, you should come join the fun..

Friday night will start with a fun Dinner party here for a house full of women, Julie and Lori the Art camp cooks are coming to cook us all a yummy dinner and desserts and wine !..

If you have Sunday off and want to come learn new Art techniques please come join us for the day, Julie says we have enough in our kits to make 2 great projects!! Its always a good time, and the day includes a GREAT lunch..

The the following week I am off to Teach at a SUPER fun EVENT! Tiffany Kirchner is hosting a D R E A M G I R L S weekend event ladies are flying in from several states to attend!! and I am lucky enough to get to go teach this group of ladies!

Time for Family

Spending some much need time away with family.. We are in Bend Oregon one of my favorite family vacation stops.. part of us went Skiing today and the other part went hiking.. Laci, Frank and me and ozzy took the hike to Smith Rock, it was so sunny and gorgeous today, Ozzy is on his first family vacation and loving LIFE!.. Our home is on the river with swans and ducks waiting to be fed!.. The picture below is people rock climbing , it was fun to just sit and watch them in the middle of this HUGE rock.. Took a few Pictures along the hike.. will be back tomorrow to share the home !! its amazing.. hot tubing on the river is just clue ..

But the good NEWS is Art Camp Spring is just around the corner and I have Natalie Hansen as our guest teacher coming in from Lodi CA, and its gonna be fabulous!... Spring camp has been sold out for months, and all the preparations are under way... The Weekend will be one GREAT BIG FUN event! Women are flying in from ,WASHINGTON, OREGON,PHOENIX AND CALIFORNIA.

Have you ever wanted to just go on an all girls trip, do some fun art projects, walk on the beach , drink some wine and meet new friends, do no laundry, cook no food, wear no make up! well you don't have to fly to Hawaii to do this!!, we have it all here on the beautiful

Oregon Coast!..

I will have to say the last Art Camp was so much fun, so rewarding for all the hard work, it was beautiful sunny days, all the fun a girl could imagine, the BEST foods daily, smelling the kitchen gals cooking away!.. movies, wine, sun shine, ART,beach and awwwww the waves roaring...

If you want to learn more please go to my website and read all about Art camp... you don't need to bring much, all art supplies are supplied, food, well that's also our job, apron, slippers and well maybe some comphy pajamas and you pass the inspection to get in! LOL.. Art camp happens twice a year, Spring and Fall..

Lots of fun new classes are now posted on my website here in WA in my home studio.. Looks like I hope to be back in Phoenix in April and maybe in Texas this spring as well!..

I'm Back again from Phoenix, i LOVE going here to teach , not only is the weather warm and sunny, the people are so warm and welcoming!..

We could not have had a better weekend. Here is a sneak peek at parts of our wonderful weekend of Art!.. Last Sunday was such a fun workshop day here!

Everyone who came was in the best holiday spirit, all visiting and enjoying the comforts of homemade treats!And we even had a little snow..

My class room is really a winter wonderland, its very lodgy, with thick wood plank floors, all wood walls and ceiling, high ceiling, and LOTS of windows! perfect to see the snow flakes falling,that I ordered just for the holiday class!...:)..

Sunday was my last workshop of the year, I wanted it to be a special day for all who came, I made papier mache snowman for everyone to have to encase in there fun soldered box, it was fun to watch them create the little homes for there snowman..

Everyone who came won a gift, the BIG prize was a Private class for 4 people here! Catherine won that , lucky gal!!!..

Donna, my class helper, is wonderful, she cooks for us all and makes sure everyone is well fed, Sunday she baked cookies all day while the little elves created there master pieces, and they were all so beautiful!..

I was thrilled to have all 15 people here, we even got Midori's husband Paul here , and he is the master Box maker!.. talk about engineering a perfect box!! ..

Please enjoy the pictures of our day, and I hope to see you all here someday for a wonderful Art retreat day of fun!..

well the RUSH of December is definantly in the air! .. guess I better get busy with decorating this house... First I have my sons Birthday to get thru on Sunday.. Tonight we go to Seattle to pick up the Hubby! so exciting to have him back home...

I finised my last batch of Christmas papier mache for 2009..... ughh always relief to have that done, all sold as fast as I could ad the finishing touchs, and most have arrived in their new homes for the holidays!...

Isnt he so sweet.. my brother got him for me as a gift, I brought him home with me from San Diego!.. flying home with him I thought what the HECK am I going to do with a puppy.... well now 2 months later, i LOVE HIM! he is so adorable.. all my clients Love him, he thinks everyone coming here is here to see him!..

These are pictures from Jodi, a student here a couple weeks ago, this was Jodi's first time soldering , or using papier mache, LOOK at what she made, this adorable snowman box tree ornament, and the snowman heart ornament, these are just a few things Jodi made, I wanted to show you that beginners do fabulous work don't they!.. start with any workshop you see I offer, none are for just beginners, you learn new techniques in EVERY workshop you take!.

I just finished a bracelet class over the weekend and as usually we made some pretty fantastic stuff and using resins..

Soon I will be back in Phoenix to teach 3 more days of fun creative workshops, we are doing this box above one day, well its actually a little larger and doing little pixie angels to encase inside.. soon I will have a picture..

That day I have a SPECIAL Secret Artist stopping by for a visit and to share some goodies with us all!.. fun fun..

Then I get home and Off to Walla Walla WA, Midori who sets up all my workshops in Microsoft,and Seattle area has set up a FUN couples retreat workshop, I will be teaching wine realated fun creations, her friend owns a winery there and we will all be tasting wine, and soldering something fun for couples in a divine atmosphere!..

gosh doesn't that sound fun, Wine and being creative, and the challenge is the men have to participate! so far so good ! :)

I also have news of ENGLAND in the works!! and Mexico is also on the horizon for 2010!..not sure of the dates quite yet, soon to share ..

show and tell workshops!

So much to tell!.... gosh time has been just disappearing..

This picture is one of the many ornaments we made here last weekend in the 2 days of workshops, we had a full house of wonderful women!.. Here is a glass box we made, it has a mirror bottom, and it is SOOO cool!.. everyone made something out of papier mache and then made this really amazing mirrored box to encase it in. you could ad legs or make it an ornament!..

wish I would have taken pictures because they all were really amazing to see....

This is Maija from Phoenix, I finally got to meet this lovely lady, and that she is, she is sooo talented as well, she brought her friend Amy from texas to the workshops in phoenix, they were super fun with an amazing 24 women each day in class!!..

Thanks to this gal, Loranne, she and Kristin flew in to help me in Arizona, and let me tell you were they ever tired! I couldn't have done it without there hard work!...

This is Wendy , the owner of Melrose Vintage, shes as sweet as she is cute!.. her friend Heidi were here busy working away, these ladies often worked until 2 am !! this group never died!!LOL... guess when the weather stays warm they just keep on working!. the home was to DIE for, and Italian villa, that we all got to stay at... sorry for the small pics! i took them from facebook.. fo to Melrose Vintage to see more..

Well Im back from the first annual Beach Art Camp retreat ! and it turned out fabulous!..

Beach Art Retreat Here we COME!

Well hard to believe this week is the long awaited Beach Art Retreat I am teaching at.... 20 women are coming, some driving some flying to Manzaneta Oregon to a Fabulous home on the beach.... ...

Looks like mother nature is going to allow us to have lots of fun times outside too ...

20 women together under 1 roof creating ART! gosh how will we all stand it..

I have so many projects for everyone, Im not sure I allowed any time for sleep.. we have 2 home theatres in the home, so movies , popcorn, yummy foods.. Our chef has created a menu to DIE for.. its all pulled together quite nicely.. I will return next week with some fabulous stories and pictures for you all....

Next Stop Napa Valley, for some wine tours, and of course some shopping and R&R....but Im thinking this leg of the trip wont be much R&R as the friends we are meeting there are TOO FUN and WILD!.. oh NO.. Did i mention I was taking this trip to rest! LOL..

Next stop is Phoenix! spending a few days with my husbands cousins and doing some sight seeing!..maybe some R&R I hope..

Then off to San Diego, to visit my brother, See my son who has now been there 3 weeks!

I will get to visit with some old friends while there, and teach at this super COOL workshop in a fabulous Penthouse over looking Balboa park!..

Then i get back home and hit the road running, a workshop here, then one in Seattle and and and and the list goes on....

THEN the good news....... the BEACH ART RETREAT in Manzanitta with 20 amazing women coming from , CA, OR, WA, and Montana!

we have 3 days of workshops & 5 nights,

in a home in Manzaneta Oregon,

we have an in house chef cooking all our meals with

so many fun things planned..

then ......sigh a folk at show in Chehalis Oct 2nd at Smiths Merchantile Friday from 6-9 pm.. ...

then back to life but seems to keep running..

I hope to slow down a bit in 2010 .

Where on earth did the summer go!

How could it be heading onto FALL, FOOTBALL and SCHOOL!..

It seems so odd to have no kids in high school, no football games !

Its been such a busy August, I have been making jewls and papier mache like crazy, DID i say crazy, well thats life lately forsure... so many fun things coming up so fast..

im leaving on a much need R&R vacation with the hubby..

we will first stop In San Francisco and Napa for some wine and dine!!

then off to Arizona, to visit the gals at Melrose Vintage, and some of the Hubbys relatives!.. so looking forward to that stop..

The last stop is San Diego, with workshops there to teach, some private classes and some fun with my brother, whom is so sad his little doggie past away yesterday! long story and it makes me cry so we wont tell it here! but poor Oscar R.I.P in doggie heavens..

the GOOD NEWS I get to see my SON! I miss him so much! I cannot even open the door to his bedroom, its too hard to see it empty and no nasty smell of football gear !HAHA..

when I get home, I have to hit the floor running, I have a class in Seattle as these Microsoft gals keep having workshops and I LOVE IT! they are so fun and I get to go to the most amazing places... WOW..

Then I am in a show here in town at Smiths Merchantile, with Renee valentine, and Ilona Steelhammer, all fabulous papier mache artists! thats Oct 2nd, 6-9 pm, the all day Saturday .. so mark your calendar now...

Then the BIG news is the Beach Art retreat in Manzaneta Oregon, its SOLD OUT to 18 wonderful women coming from, WA, OR, MT, and CA .. We rented the most fabulous HUGE home right on the beach! will we have fun hmmmmm MAYBE!..

I will be MIA for a while so see you all later in the month!..

Empty Nest

its been a long few weeks of worrys about goodbyes......My Lovely Laci moved out, it was an emotional hard time for her MOTHER!... my kids are the best, i think one reason is loosing there grandparents so fast and all of them, its made us so much more closer to our kids. My son is now on a road trip, across WA, OR, CA and AZ, visiting friends in college, and relatives along the way.. I had to drop hubby at the airport and come home to VERY hard goodbyes to my baby... ughh i've NEVER been good at any kind of goodbye, I just melt down into a mess!.. My Best friend Kim moved away and I just didnt think i would ever stop crying, and I still hate to see her come home to know shes leaving again!.. Poor Tayler had to hold me up as I tryed to stop crying so I could tell him goodbye.. ughhh needless to say its been tough times on momma the past week...on a good note, hubby and I will be seeing Tayler in 3 weeks when we take off on a road trip across , WA, OR, CA and AZ along the same path as Tayler.. but then again to have to say good bye all over ughhhhhhhh..... I know parents go thru this everyday but its sure not easy...
